Scope
This statement covers the Targela marketing site (https://targela.com), the Targela web app (https://app.targela.com), and the Targela app for Android. The iPhone app is in development and will be added here when it is released. This statement is provided by Atefeh Salahshoor Goolan.
The service
Targela turns a goal and a deadline into a weekly plan of concrete steps, tells you whether the plan is realistic in the time you have, and helps you work through it with a calendar, reminders, and a focus timer. You use it in a browser or in the Android app, after creating an account.
Standard
We hold Targela to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That goes beyond the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1, which refers to WCAG 2.1 level AA.
Conformance status
Targela is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Most content meets the standard. The parts that do not yet, or that we have not yet tested by hand, are listed under Known limitations.
How Targela meets the requirements
Your device settings come first. Targela follows the accessibility settings of your operating system and browser, with no setup:
- Reduced motion. When your device asks for less motion, animations and transitions are switched off.
- More contrast. When your device asks for more contrast, text gets darker, borders stronger, and focus outlines thicker. On Windows, High Contrast mode keeps focus outlines and controls visible.
- Text size. The web app and site are laid out in relative units, so they follow your browser's text size and zoom. The Android app follows your system text size up to the largest accessibility sizes, and rearranges controls so that nothing is cut off.
- Dark mode. Light, dark, or matching your device.
Settings in Targela can only add to your device. Under Settings → Accessibility you can choose larger text, reduced motion, or more contrast. These never turn down what your device already asks for. In the Android app you can also switch off haptic feedback.
Built for keyboards and assistive technology:
- Colour contrast meets WCAG 2.2 AA in light and dark mode.
- Every page has a skip link, one main region, and after navigating, focus moves to the new content.
- Buttons, links, and form fields have accessible names, and custom controls announce whether they are selected or expanded.
- Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch screens.
- In the Android app, screen readers announce when a focus or break phase ends.
How we check it. A change cannot ship until it passes lint rules for accessible markup and axe-core tests on shared components. The Android app runs Flutter's accessibility guideline tests for tap targets, labels, and text contrast. On our staging environment, an axe-core sweep checks the main pages in light and dark mode.
Known limitations
- Screen readers. We have not yet completed a full manual test with VoiceOver, TalkBack, and NVDA on every common task. The automated checks above cover names, roles, and states, but not the whole experience. Until the manual test is done, please tell us about anything that gets in your way.
- Third-party pages. Payment pages are hosted by Stripe, and Google sign-in by Google. Their accessibility is outside our control.
How this statement was prepared
This statement is based on a self-assessment by the Targela team, using the automated checks described above. It was first published on 19 October 2026 and last reviewed on 19 October 2026. We review it at least every six months, and whenever a change affects accessibility.
